The Mega Man games on NES have proven to be some of the best ever. With the X series gaining increasingly high popularity, the original Blue Bomber is slowly drawing less and less new fans. Those who played (and still play) the NES Mega Man games were treated to some of the best controls, cleverest level design, and overall best gaming available. They were also treated to some interesting screens.
I love Mega Man 3. I really do. I just think that "Hard Man" and "Snake Man" might possibly be the two most pervertedly named robots in the history of mechanics. Also, why does Top Man look like the monkey from Alladin?
Speaking of Top Man, this cat mini-boss can be found in his level. What a cat has to do with tops I'll never figure out...
Thanks, I work out.
The whole Proto Man/Mega Man being brothers plot, with Proto Man helping Mega Man but Mega Man thinking he's being attacked, sounds somewhat familiar...
Dr. Wily is perhaps the dumbest villian in the history of video games (his only real competition would be Bowser). As one of the bosses of his Skull Castle he created three Mega Man clones. Not a bad idea so far. And they're invincible. So far, so good. Except that only two of them are invincible. That's where this goes from brilliant to idiotic. If you can make two of them invincible, it should be logically assumed that you could make all three invincible. This is why Wily is perhaps the stupidest villian ever.
At this point, Wily could've put anything at the bottom of this pit: It could've been spikes, or bears, or bears with big spike hats on their heads. And Mega Man would've gone down there, because there's really no other place for him to go. He could've killed Mega Man right then and there, done and done. But what does he put at the bottom of this drop-off? TELEPORT HATCHES. So that Mega Man can go back and kill all eight of his robots again. Wily, you idiot. Just kill Mega Man already. Nobody is making you "play fair" or anything. You're evil. Just do it.
What's worse about his teleport hatches is that after you defeat the robots, Wily makes sure they leave you an energy capsule. His ideas just get dumber and dumber. Also, notice the friendly "Exit" sign. Wily isn't only an evil scientist, he's a curtious one as well.
This is the final boss of the game, Gamma. To fill you in on the Mega Man 3 plot, Dr. Wily has stolen a robot named Gamma that was intended to be used as a "peace keeping robot." This is Gamma. Appearently, Gamma keeps the peace by aimlessly shooting plasma bullets into the air. Back
